Sweet
Retreat is most easily accessed off of Interstate 89,
convenient to visitors from Montreal, New York, and the lower east
coast.
From
the west, first head to Burlington, Vermont to pick up 89,
then follow the same directions from Exit 5.

Sweet Retreat is 15 minutes south of Montpelier and 50 minutes south of Burlington. The guesthouse is five miles from
Interstate 89 and from downtown Northfield,
home to Norwich University, Countryman’s Peony Farm, and five
covered bridges.
From I-89 north or
south, take Exit 5 for Northfield.
Follow Route 64 west for 0.8 miles. Turn left onto Loop Road (a
dirt road). Go 1.4 miles and at the Y, bear left. Look for the Sweet Retreat
Guesthouse sign 0.3 miles on your left. The sign at the Y
for Frost Road (our road) may be missing, just keep the faith... |
